Peoria Tribe Donates PPE Materials to Quapaw Schools

On behalf of the Peoria Tribe, Community Health Representative Shelby Betsey stands with Superindent Mr. David Carriger & Elementary Principal Mrs. Sheri Compton of the Quapaw School District who accepted a donation of PPE materials from the Tribe. The PPE materials donated were two pallets of gallon-sized hand sanitizer, one pallet of 20-oz. bottles of hand sanitizer, and three boxes of face masks. #PeoriaProud

Office Closure Due to Weather

Due to the forecasted inclement weather conditions and for the safety of our staff, Chief Harper has decided to close the offices for the remainder of the week. We will reopen as usual on Monday, 2/7/22 at 8 am.

The office will re-open for regular business hours on Thursday, February 10th. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause. Peoria Tribe Tag Office Now Open!

Today, we are excited to announce that we’ve expanded our services to include assuming charge of Peoria Tags in-house! Starting immediately, we can process your tribal tags at our office headquarters, located at 118 S. Eight Tribes Trail, Miami, Ok. Please stop by our office during the operating hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm, or call us at 918-540-2535 to speak with a Tag Clerk in our Tribal Programs Office.

SPECIAL ELECTION INFORMATION:

The official polling place for the Special Election of Second Chief of the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma shall be the Peoria Tribal Administrative offices (118 S Eight Tribes Trail, Miami, Oklahoma 74354). The polling place shall be open from 7:00am to 12:00pm on the day of the election.

You will need a government issued photo ID with your name matching the Tribal roll to vote.

Additionally, our Tribal Programs Specialists and Peoria Trading Post will be available for your assistance after voting.

RESULTS OF BALLOT COUNT:

In a race for office where there are three (3) or more candidates for office, one candidate must receive no less than 50.1% of the total vote to be declared the winner. Failure to do so will result in a run-off election between the two (2) who have received the most votes.

Therefore, as a reminder, the Election Committee shall immediately proceed to call for a run-off election by announcing the time polls will open. Polls for a run-off election, if necessary, will remain open from 1:30pm-3:30pm at the Peoria Tribal Administrative offices (118 S Eight Tribes Trail, Miami, Oklahoma 74354).

The winner and/or notice of a run-off election will be posted in office, on peoriatribe.com, and on our facebook page at facebook.com/peoriatribe.
