Early Childhood Program

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 6:00pm –  year round, including school breaks

Ages: 6 weeks – 12 years of age

Subsidy: Tribal and State subsidy accepted

Transportation: Available within Miami school district


Our mission is to foster the life-long learning of children and their families. The Peoria Tribe Early Childhood Program strives to enhance the growth and development of children, in partnership with their families and our community, by cultivating the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual progress unique to each child. We believe in connecting deeply with our heritage and our cultural values to create a comprehensive, linguistically appropriate program.


  • Early Childhood provides childcare for ages 6 weeks – 12 years
    • We accept Tribal and State subsidy
  • Education
    • HighScope Curriculum is used in all infant/toddler and Preschool classrooms
    • Developmental screenings and assessments for children ages 6 weeks – 5 years
    • Homework and/or tutoring help for school age children
  • Nutrition
    • We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) – national food program which include nutrition assessments
  • Family Engagement
    • Resources assistance
    • Family conferences
    • Monthly Family meetings
