CCDF and Daycare Information Update
/in Notices /by Krista WilkinsThe Peoria Tribe CCDF Program has the following update to its clients and providers:
- Co-pays are currently being waived
- Absentee days will be paid
- If an approved daycare is closed a client is ABLE to “change” to another licensed provider. *If an approved provider has an opening the client CAN SWITCH but Peoria CCDF is ONLY able to pay one provider per day per child.
- In order to provide assistance, the facility MUST be a state licensed facility
- The state licensed facility must already be approved with the Peoria CCDF Program
- Children must already be included on the original application the Peoria CCDF has on file
- Peoria CCDF can not pay for any child that is staying at the clients household during this time
The Peoria CCDF Program MAY have updates to tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25th as they are participating in a conference call with Region.
The Peoria Tribe and the Peoria CCDF Program realize this is a very trying time for all of us and we are working to ensure that all resources are available for our clients and providers.

Peoria Tribe Postpones 5th Annual Buffalo Run Casino Pow-wow

/in Notices, Uncategorized /by Krista WilkinsThe 2020 Peoria General Council Meeting was held at the Peoria Showplace at Buffalo Run Casino on March 7, 2020. The Annual General Council Meeting was met with great success. Attendance was estimated at 125 people, with 86 voting members present. Chief Harper provided updates on the Peoria Tribal programs and enterprises, as well as having staff provide updates. In addition, each department within the Peoria Tribe was present to provide information and welcome attendees. A special guest from Illinois State Museum was in attendance and displayed numerous artifacts that are part of the Peoria Archeological collection at Illinois State Museum. The day was concluded with a ground breaking at the former Miami Country Club, where Chief Harper unveiled the plans for the future Peoria Campus with will include Woodland Academy Learning Center and Peoria Longhouse Community Center.
Thank you to Chief Craig Harper, his staff, and the Peoria citizens for all the work you do to maintain our strength and sovereignty as a Tribal Nation! We are #PeoriaProud !
