Veteran’s Day Event
/in Notices /by Krista WilkinsToday November 11, 2020 Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma honored and celebrated our U.S. Veterans at our Peoria Tribal Cemetery in front of the Veteran’s Memorial. It was a beautiful ceremony followed by gifts for the Veterans and lunch for all. We heard the story of Tojo the Veteran Monkey from Miami, Oklahoma with a purple heart told by Cap Ulrey. We also heard beautiful songs in honor by Cricket Rice & John David Ballard. Thank you to our Citizens who were able to make it out, and a very special thank you to all of our Veteran’s that have fought for this Country. #PeoriaProud
