Second Chief Election Announcement

The Election Committee of the Peoria Tribe of Indians announces that there is one candidate running for the position of Second Chief that was scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025. In the event a candidate runs unopposed for an elective office they shall be declared elected in accordance with the Election Ordinance Article XVI Section 1 (i) of the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma. Paul J. Attocknie Jr. has been declared by the Election Committee to be elected effective March 1, 2025. This will serve as notice that the position of Second Chief will be struck from the ballot. Any votes cast for this position shall not be counted.
