Request for Proposals: Turnkey Pipe Removal

November 22, 2024

The Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma is soliciting bids for a turnkey pipe removal project in Miami, OK 74354.  Radiologically impacted scrap metal and piping have been identified, surveyed, and characterized. The pipe is contaminated with radium-containing scale with concentrations of which range from 789 – 2110 pCi/g. The length of the piping consists mostly of 16’-20’ pieces, with a maximum length of approx. 33’. The diameters of the piping range from 2 ” to 4”. The estimated weight of scrap metal/piping is 10,400 lbs. Peoria Tribe staff will load the pipe onto a vehicle for transportation. However, if the piping needs to be cut/downsized for transportation, the bidder will be responsible for doing so. The bidder will need to have proper certifications to gather the contaminated pipe and haul it to an approved final disposal location. The bidder would be responsible for all permits and a final report upon completion.
